Your blog is your primary hub…the place where you communicate with your audience at a personal level. It’s a great way to build trust, collect leads, and make sales.
If you have a WordPress blog (highly recommended), there are several ways to optimize it using plugins.
WordPress plugins are little pieces of software that enhance the usability of your blog.
Plugins are a great way to optimize your site for SEO, PPC, and every other type of marketing.
5 WordPress plugins that you can use to optimize your blog:
PopUp Domination: A great plug-in that will drastically improve the number of leads you collect daily from your blog. I was opposed to using popups on my blogs for a very long time, but this plug-in does it in a very nice way that doesn’t offend the reader. You can customize everything…and you can even select the pages and posts you want the popup to show on, while excluding other pages. You can also set the number of times you want the popup to display to the reader (I personally set it to display only once to each user).
WordPress.com Stats: One of my favorite plugins because it gives you a snapshot of the health of your blog. It shows you how much traffic you get daily to your blogs, and displays your most popular blog posts and pages over time. It even shows you which keywords people typed to visit your blog, and how many people did that for each keyword. Similar to Google Analytics without leaving your WordPress dashboard
All in One SEO Pack: It’s the best plug-in to optimize your site for SEO
Facebook Like: This helps users to share your blog posts and pages quickly and easily via their Facebook accounts
Yet Another Related Posts Plug-in: I love this plug-in because it makes your readers stay longer on your site by showing them a list of similar/related blog posts. Time on site is one of the factors that determine your SEO rankings, so the longer your visitors stay on your site; the better your site is in Google’s eyes.

Turning Your Facebook Page Into a Lead-Generating Machine
Tip provided by Amy Porterfield
One necessary component of a thriving business is a strong list of qualified leads. Collecting names and emails is essential to any small business because you can communicate with your ideal audience on a regular basis. Some business experts say that without a list, you don’t really have a business!
There are many ways to grow your list and one of the smartest marketing moves is to create an opt-in strategy on your Facebook page. To keep it simple, use iFrames to create a custom welcome tab. On this tab you can create a 2-step process called a “reveal tab.”
Step #1: Include a call to action to encourage non-fans to click Like and become a fan.
Step #2: Once you get the Like, offer a valuable giveaway in exchange for name and email.
With this model, you are increasing your fan base and growing your lead list at the same time. It’s a double whammy for your business.

Resilience is the ability to bounce back from setbacks and adapt. People who are resilient do not dwell on past failures but rather another way to go about doing that which did not work. Consider Thomas Edison, a famous quote of his is “I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work.” This inventor did not allow his mindset to be affected by the things that didn’t work. He did not dwell on things that were not successful. This is a great example of resiliency; the ability to suffer a setback and adapt. Individuals with resiliency do not allow themselves to dwell on past failures. They have the ability to acknowledge the error, learn from it and then positively move forward. Not everyone can do this. However, I want to challenge you today, to develop Resiliency. Mistakes happen; acknowledge it and move on. Remain focused on your goals and focus only on the things that you can control. Putting your effort into the things that you can control is key in shaping your confidence and empowering you. On the flip side of this, if you only dwell on the things of which you have no control, the feeling of helplessness or even powerlessness will overtake you. Do not allow this to happen! If you find that you are not as resilient as you could be, then take steps to change it now. Develop Resiliency. How? Be on the lookout for my next post.

Leaders recognize that they must also be effective coaches. What is a coach? Many think of sports when the word coach is used, however, in this case we are using the word coach as it applies to business. Specifically your business. A coach develops strategies and acts as the guiding force to see those strategies completed. A coach must also have certain skills and one of those skills is effective listening. Set aside the distractions that often come up and pay active attention to those being coached by you. The word active is used because it involves not only what is being said, but also what is not being said. Coaches also use empathy when dealing with others. They have learned to recognize and validate the concerns of those being coached without coddling them.
